What Kind of Monster

Would do this? Agh! Cookie split from stem to stern!

And Elmo! Who would hurt Elmo?
The answer is ME. Hah! I tore apart an Elmo in order to learn how to switch adapt him, and it WORKED. The hardest part, really, was the soldering, and DaDa taught me how to do it. (Boy, you should see his soldering burn...yee. I couldn't get a clear pic, though.) But I made Elmo work so that all that Dakin has to do is click the happy face button and he will talk.
As for poor Cookie, I am afraid he is beyond my skill level. Gutted for nothing, that one. I contacted LeTourneau University in our area to see if they could help us with modifying toys for Dakin, and they are going to help us--more on that as it gets closer.

No my friend, YOU are the awesome one!! Making Elmo talk like that, by gutting him, and essentially pulling a Frankenstein? I am in awe...(and I won't tell my little one, shhh! LOL)

Hugs and kisses to Dakin!

way to go, we have adapted a few toys for Junior but only the kind where you add a battery converter to plug into a switch.

I need some tips ! I've tried gutting a couple of Chloe's toys, and they were left gutted without a switch! lol. I'm a toy murderer!

What a nice mommy! I never thought about it before that they probably don't have many (if any) toys like that. It'd be a great idea to market. :)

Yay! I did some switch work as a teacher, but never had to take anything apart--I mostly made mixers go and radios play. I bet Dakin loves it.
