Purple Shoesies and Purple Butterflies

Dakin got his AFOs (Ankle Foot Orthotics) the other day, and guess what? They're PURPLE. As I've said before, he loves purple. If you look closely you will see that they also have butterflies on them--his other love. They're making him look pigeontoed, though, so I'm going to have to ask the PT about that...
This is from OT the other day--he was helping turn the pages of his favorite book, 'Rainbow Rob'. This is the purple butterfly page. Are you sensing a theme? I wonder what he'll be into next.
And this is just a silly picture, but my new favorite.

Awe, how darling! His AFO's are way cooler than Logan's. We've never had the option of colors or designs. He's on his fifth pair of boring white and blue DAFO's. Ah well...

I can see why the third picture is a new favorite. Just look how precious he is! Such a handsome little man! Can you give him a hug for me?

Your son looks so incredibly beautiful. I have really appreciated your comments on my blog(findingpeacewithautism). Although we are dealing with two different disorders, we still have two amazing children who have been given to us to teach us and bless our lives.

Ryder used to wear AFO's too! Here is an embarrassing story: About an hour after getting them, Ryder started crying and crying and whining and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. He cried for 3 hours straight and finally I decided to take him to the ER. (he was always getting ear infections). As I started to get him out of the van to go inside the hospital, he stopped crying when I adjusted his legs. Then it dawned on me. His AFO's were too tight!!!! I'm so glad I didn't take him inside the ER! Bad Mommy!! :D BTW, Dakin is so cute!
